At LaughN’Learn our primary goal is to provide a friendly and welcoming environment for your child that inspires a sense of discovery, curiosity, and exploration. Our early childhood center is a place in which your child will have the opportunity to learn, play and grow while feeling safe and secure. We ensure to help every child discover their abilities and exceed to their full potential. We do not believe in a "one size fits all" curriculum, we cater to the child's learning abilities.
At LaughN’ Learn our curriculum is inspired by the very best aspects of respected Early Child Education philosophies of Montessori combined with the Reggio Emilia approach while following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). These approaches are used to allow us to determine the needs of each individual learner through their eyes and interests. With the child at the center of the focus, educators, families, and the environment all contribute to a child’s growth. We focus also on four foundational conditions that are important for children to grow and flourish: Belonging, Well-Being, Engagement, and Expression. We believe that by combining these educational approaches, our students will strive and excel through their educational journey.
Our Curriculum Director has a Master's degree in Education from the University of Calgary, Canada, specializing in language and diversity, and has been in the educational field for more than 15 years in Canada and Oman. During her years of teaching, she realized that many children do not fit into a standard set curriculum. At LaughNLearn we specialize in what the learner is capable of doing, their interests and ideas, then build the curriculum around that learner. Each learner will be assessed and observed, then provided with an individualized plan to help them grow throughout their learning.
Our qualified staff members are carefully selected based on a variety of key attributes. They have years of experience in childcare and are responsible, caring, and creative teachers, who work together as a team to nurture, engage and enlighten your child.
We foster a culture of respect that values differences. Our environment is set up to identify an individual's special needs. Our specialist teacher, who has a graduate diploma in Behaviour Analysis, when required, will liaise with other professionals to provide the required support so that the child and their family can achieve their goals. If we cannot meet the family’s goals, we will do our best to facilitate another solution.
